This is an exciting week at Parkside School! On Monday, the A' girls volleyball team won their first set of playoff games. And congrats to the girls and coaches on their win at the Notre Dame Tournament this past weekend.

On Tuesday, 15 students were lucky enough to attend the 'We Day' concert at the Saddledome in Calgary, a day about student led organizations that posit change in communitites. Students and staff enjoyed the concert.

Wednesday the Spirit Council is putting on a bake sale to get everyone's sweet tooth ready for the weekend!

There are many exciting Halloween events at Parkside this week, starting off with our homeroom pumpkin carving contest during period 5 on Thursday. The class with the best pumpkin wins a great prize! Thursday night there will also be a Haunted Hallway and Halloween Dance at Parkside from 6-8pm. Admission is a food bank item or a cash donation for the Women's Shelter.

On Friday the Haunted Hallway will run for students, admission again will be a food bank item. At lunch students will change into their costumes and be ready for the costume contest during period 5. There will be many great prizes. And the afternoon will be filled with Halloween movies and popcorn.
